(1) The amount received in the fund will be spent on the following works:-
(a) to maintain roads,
(b) To maintain the district and urban roads in such a way as to be a share in the cost price as determined by the board,
(c) To be a shareholder in the amount incurred on behalf of the Government of Nepal in road maintenance projects supported by charitable organizations,
(d) To spend on selected road safety projects as determined by the Board (e) To implement the prescribed standards regarding vehicle load capacity and weight per axle,
(f) To investigate road maintenance and reconstruction,
(G) To incur administrative expenses related to the work of the Board, the execution of duties and fund management, but such administrative expenses shall not exceed four percent of the total income or estimated total income of each financial year.
(2) The excess amount set aside for the work written in sub-section (1) may be spent on increasing the level of the existing road or on minor road-related works as determined by the board on the recommendation of the road-related body so that it does not exceed fifteen percent of the total income or the estimated total income.
